Concrete outcomes to scale circular solutions in agriculture
VALORANT will deliver measurable and actionable results to support the transition towards a circular bioeconomy.
1.
A validated decision-support solution
The project will produce one joint decision framework, providing a comprehensive solution for the valorisation of horticultural residues in Northwest Europe. This framework will be designed for practical use and uptake by organisations across the sector.
2.
Tested and scalable pilot solutions
Through the implementation of 8 pilot actions, VALORANT will validate innovative valorisation pathways and demonstrate their applicability in different regional contexts.
These pilots will support the uptake and scaling of at least one solution by organisations beyond the project partnership.
3.
Strengthened skills and knowledge
VALORANT will develop and deliver a joint training programme, reaching at least 300 participants, including farmers, processors and end-users. This will enhance capacities and support the adoption of circular practices.
4.
Increased institutional capacity
At least 25 organisations will improve their capacity to implement circular and resource-efficient solutions through participation in project activities and transnational cooperation.
5.
Environmental and economic impact
By enabling better recovery and valorisation of horticultural residues, VALORANT will:
- reduce agricultural waste
- improve resource efficiency
- create new value chains based on bio-based products
- support the transition towards a circular and sustainable economy
